On November 27, we had the opportunity to organize the session entitled "Architecture and Cohousing: Design and integrative models for the health and well-being of people", at the WeMind Forum by the Cluster Salut Mental Catalunya.
In this session we explore how architectural design, along with various factors, can influence people's physical and mental health, with a special focus on cohabitation models for older people.
During the session, we discussed the importance of participatory design and the rehabilitation of spaces as key tools to create healthy and sustainable environments, adapted to different levels of autonomy and ways of living together. In addition, we had the opportunity to learn about innovative projects and recent experiences that address the major current challenges in this field.
We had the presence of prominent speakers who provided a multidimensional perspective from the architectural, medical and social fields:
🔺 Patrícia Remiro, CSIM Cluster Manager (Moderator)
Prudencio López Vicedo, Sustainable Living Cohousing Collaborative Housing
🔹 Ester Risco Vilarasau, Parc Taulí University Hospital
🔹 Benedetta Rodeghiero, LEMUR urban emergency laboratory
These types of meetings help us to continue moving towards more humane, inclusive and sustainable models of coexistence. 🌱
Many thanks to all the participants for their involvement, to the speakers for sharing their experience and to the Clúster Salut Mental Catalunya for giving us the opportunity to be part of this very interesting congress.👏
