We've kicked off the course "The Importance of Applied Data", and we started with leadership before technology.
This Tuesday, September 22, we held the first session of the course, organized with Eurecat Academy and led by Laia Garriga Mas.
The training is part of CSIM's data space project and has a clear goal: helping the sector understand the value of data and make good use of it. It all starts with a solid foundation (high-quality, traceable, consistent and interoperable data) and a leadership team that knows how to govern it. That's why we wanted to open with a session aimed at executives.
These were some of the topics covered:
Why so many AI projects fail to deliver value, and how to avoid it.
How to prioritize initiatives by value, impact, feasibility and adoption.
Why human oversight has to be real, and how to govern the use of AI.
Attendees also put it into practice in an executive workshop on an asset portfolio dashboard, and closed the day with a discussion on governance and leadership: who learns, who delivers the value, and who is accountable when an AI-assisted decision goes wrong.
We're continuing to move toward a real estate services sector that is more connected and data-driven.
