Closing Session of the Shared Value Training Program: A Step Further Towards Business Sustainability

Naia Vivanco,

This morning, we celebrated the Closing Session of the Shared Value Training Program, driven by ACCIÓ and developed in collaboration with Roots for Sustainability (R4S).

Throughout the program, we have learned how to integrate sustainability into business strategy, identifying opportunities to generate positive impact without losing sight of economic viability. We have explored key concepts such as shared value creation, sustainable innovation, and impact measurement using the B Corp standard.

A central element of the program has been working with the B Impact Assessment (BIA) tool, which enables companies to measure their environmental, social, and governance impact. Thanks to this methodology, participating companies have been able to analyze their starting point and define actions to move towards more sustainable business models.

Six companies have successfully completed the program, demonstrating their commitment to shared value: FINQUES POUS SL, Housfy, Grup Acbar, myllox, Everest Facility Services, and Vidriera del Cardoner.

In this final session, we shared experiences and insights with the participants, identifying barriers and opportunities in applying shared value in businesses. We also learned about inspiring initiatives like Omplim, which provided us with fresh perspectives on implementing responsible business models. We were particularly impressed by their ability to extend these best practices to their value chain, amplifying the positive impact beyond their own organization.

But above all, as Yolanda Lupiáñez from myllox pointed out, this program has helped us become more aware 🌱 of the importance of integrating sustainability into the daily operations of businesses—not as an extra, but as a key element for growth and differentiation.

Now it’s our turn! As a Cluster, it is time to put our learnings into action and implement shared value initiatives within our ecosystem. This program has also helped us develop a roadmap of projects in this area, paving the way towards a more sustainable and responsible real estate sector.

A big thank you to ACCIÓ for driving this program, to Roots for Sustainability (R4S) for their guidance, and to all participants for their dedication on this journey towards a more sustainable and impactful business model.
